Welcome to WelshMountainPonies.eu
Alltfilo and Airyhope studs lie in a beautiful setting between the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons in Powys. Our Section A Welsh Mountain Ponies are bred for their excellent temperament and conformation.
Alltfilo stud was started in 1996 by Karen and Robert Davies. Our foundation mares are 116955 Airyhope Dancer, 119163 Airyhope Echo and 106621 Meadowview Lucky. We have been successful in the show ring at local and county level, both in-hand and now, as our youngstock are starting to be backed, in Mountain and Moorland ridden classes.
Airyhope stud was started in 1990 by the Worth family, and has produced many show-winners; Airyhope ponies have several times taken Section A and overall championships in the Brecon and Borders Welsh Pony and Cob Breeders' Association annual points competition and we have had some notable best-in-sale awards. Our Stallion is BLAENAU VULCAN 47906, and our mares are Aberanell Amanda, Airyhope Jill, Excelsior Cariad, Airyhope Venus, and Penboeth Rosie. Over recent years we have started to breed miniature Shetland Ponies.
Both studs breed a small number of Section A foals each year, registered with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society; youngstock are usually for sale.
